Jo Dierdorff began her dance training with the Royal Academy of Ballet in Newmarket, England at the age of six. Jo's eclectic background includes two years with the Los Angeles Festival Ballet, M.A. in Dance from USC, 10 years teaching and choreographing at the University of Redlands, teaching at studios and community colleges in Seattle, intensive work with the Bill Evans Dance Company school and directing the first three years of the Seattle Summer Institute of Dance, and 17 years as Director of Dance at Riverside Community College. She founded the RCC Dance Touring Ensemble, which performs in public schools helping educate and inspire students about the world of dance, and for 12 years produced an annual AIDS benefit concert, "Dancers for Life," which raised over $60,000 for the Inland AIDS Project. In 1991, Jo became a certified Pilates trainer and has since developed a comprehensive Pilates program within the Dance department at RCC. She is co-artistic director and performing member of The Performance Loft.
